Washington, D.C. – As the clock keeps ticking toward Election Day, Vice President Kamala Harris continues to garner support from Americans of all backgrounds. Republicans, on the other hand, continue to boost third-party candidates in their effort to undermine Democrats and tilt the election toward Trump.
This week, the Wall Street Journal revealed how Jill Stein paid $100,000 to Trent Pool, a MAGA operative who participated in the insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th. This builds on previous reporting that exposed ties between Stein and other Trump-affiliated operatives, including Jay Sekulow, the attorney who represented Trump during his first impeachment trial and Michael D. Dean, who worked on behalf of Trump to overturn the 2020 election results and has worked for anti-abortion groups for decades.
Meanwhile, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s antics are sowing chaos in multiple states: despite removing himself from the ballot in swing states, he’s trying to get back *on* the ballot in New York. In Wisconsin, he wants election officials to place a sticker over his name on over four million ballots, which officials say could jam machines and paralyze vote tabulation. In North Carolina, he’s already cost taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars and nearly sabotaged early voting.
"It’s no coincidence that Donald Trump’s campaign is flailing and now Jill Stein, Cornel West, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are trying to subvert the will of the people and sow chaos in states across the country. This election will be decided on the margins, and any effort to damage our electoral process is an attack on our entire democracy," said MoveOn spokesperson Britt Jacovich.
